Welcoming Scholars, Ideas, and Impact: JBOR’s Commitment to Excellence in Business Research

This article presents the inaugural editorial note for the Journal of Business and Organizational Research (JBOR), a peer-reviewed international journal dedicated to bridging the gap between theory and practice in business and organizational studies. The background of this work is grounded in the need to address contemporary challenges in a rapidly evolving global business environment, with research objectives aimed at advancing academic discourse, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration, and delivering actionable insights for both scholars and industry practitioners. A comprehensive methodological framework—comprising SWOT analysis, literature review, comparative analysis, and stakeholder surveys—was employed to craft a strategic vision that positions JBOR as a dynamic platform for innovative research. Key themes discussed include the journal's broad yet focused scope, strategic initiatives for international indexation and global partnerships, and a commitment to continuous adaptation in response to technological advancements. Special issues and thematic calls are planned to spotlight critical topics such as digital transformation and sustainable business models, while fostering a vibrant global academic community. By upholding rigorous editorial standards and open access policies, JBOR aims to facilitate knowledge exchange, collaboration, and practical application, ensuring its lasting impact on the academic and business landscapes.
